Colt Goff is a lifestyle and performance coach who works with men and athletes looking for custom programming, accountability, champion mentality and sustainable results.

 

His approach is straightforward, disciplined, and built around creating habits that last with a resilient mindset along the way.

About Colt

I'm Colt Goff, returning to TUF as a coach after a hiatus to complete my degree. I am a husband, father of 5, educator, and coach in cross country, wrestling, and track. My academic background includes dual undergraduate degrees from Dickinson State University, where I crossed paths with TUF's founders during our competitive athlete days. These degrees encompass Exercise Science and Psychology, as well as Physical Education and Coaching.

 

I earned my Master's from what was then California University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest University) in Exercise Science and Sports Psychology. I also hold a PhD in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University.

Athletics have been a lifelong passion for me. From a young age, I competed in Football, Wrestling, and Track, earning numerous accolades including All-State honors in wrestling during high school. In college, I focused on wrestling and was a multiple-time national qualifier and Academic All-American.

Outside coaching and academics, I remain active in lifting, hunting, and recently took up jiu-jitsu. I also aspire to one day step onto the bodybuilding stage.

I am eager to share my knowledge and support anyone looking to enhance their quality of life through fitness as a cornerstone skill.

Colts Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is simple: progress comes from doing the basics right, consistently.

​

There are no shortcuts. Strength, speed, confidence, and health are built through structure, discipline, and effort over time. I focus on a foundation-first approach, prioritizing movement quality, strength, conditioning, and recovery before anything advanced.

​

Training is individualized and purposeful. For athletes, that means age-appropriate progression that supports performance and longevity.

For men, it means building discipline, structure, and habits that carry beyond the gym.

 

Accountability is non-negotiable. Effort matters. Consistency matters. Results follow.

 

Build the foundation. Raise the standard. Keep improving.

Outside of coaching, family comes first.

I’m a dad, and a lot of my life revolves around youth sports, early mornings, long weekends, and time spent in wrestling rooms, cross country meets and at softball competitions. Being a sports dad has shaped how I coach. I’ve seen firsthand the discipline, grit, and accountability that sports demand, and the impact the right coaching can have on a young athlete’s confidence and character.

​

Between practices, tournaments, and supporting my kids in their sports, I understand the balance families are trying to create. That perspective carries into my coaching style. I value structure, effort, and commitment, but I also understand the importance of family, school, and life outside the gym.

Coaching doesn’t stop when the session ends. The lessons learned through sport, discipline, resilience, and showing up when it’s hard, matter just as much at home as they do on the field or the mat.

Online Athlete Coaching

Online athlete coaching is built for athletes who want structure, guidance, and accountability while training on their own or at a local gym.

​

Each athlete receives a customized training program based on their sport, season, and goals, along with simple nutrition guidance and mindset coaching to support performance, recovery, and consistency.

​

Online coaching includes:

  • Sport-specific strength and conditioning programs

  • Simple, realistic nutrition guidance for athletes

  • Mindset and habit development to build discipline and confidence

  • Ongoing accountability, progress tracking, and adjustments

​

This option is ideal for athletes who want high-level coaching, clear expectations, and consistent support, even when in-person training is not an option.
