More than Weight Loss

So you signed up for a nutrition and fitness program.

As long as you stay dedicated to your program, chances are good that you'll lose weight!

BUT when it comes to your health, its SO MUCH MORE than just weight loss.. This is why we encourage clients to focus on MORE than just weight loss alone. Because changing your lifestyle into a healthier one, comes with its own set of benefits outside of just losing weight.

Here's a snapshot of why changing your exercise and nutrition habits means more than a number on the scale...

Our digestion plays a major role in many other things in out bodies: brain function, metabolism, heart health, joint pain, and the list goes on. Think of your gut as a trickle down effect. If your gut health is out of wack, it can compromise all your other goals!

Load your diet with fruits, veggies, lean meats and complex carbs and be sure to get regular exercise!

Pair it all with our favorite Greens Supplement by 1stPhorm. Loaded with digestive enzymes, probiotic and antioxidants to promote gut health.

Fun Fact: We took a poll, 100% of people who take these Greens have noticed a significant difference in their digestion and energy levels!

Mind, Mood & Emotions

Did you know that your emotions are tied to getting enough QUALITY protein in your diet? Protein makes our 'feel-good' neurotransmitters produce hormones, serotonin and dopamine. These brain chemicals help us feel calm, relaxed and happy. If you're only eating protein at dinner, which A LOT of people do...then it's easy to feel stressed out at work or short tempered at home. By getting enough quality protein in your diet, your mood will drastically improve.

If you're struggling to get enough protein in your diet - checkout our favorite post-workout protein shake!

When it comes to exercising, the body produces another 'feel-good' hormone called endorphins. Because of this, exercise becomes a major stress relief and has been proven to improve mood and decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Heart & Lungs

Its no mystery that a healthy diet and regular exercise is good for your heart and lung health.

Exercise increases the blood flow, making your heart work harder to pump blood throughout the body. In turn, this makes the heart muscle stronger!

The same general rule applies to thee lungs. When exercise, especially with aerobic exercise, the lungs are worked harder in order to deliver OXYGEN to your working muscles and throughout the body, making them stronger and more efficient!

When it comes to your nutrition, by avoiding foods that contain a lot of refined flour, sugar, and saturated fats will balance out your cholesterol levels and numbers. For optimal heart and lung health, its best to eat whole, real foods and lots of anti-oxidant fruits and veggies to help reduce any inflammation in the lungs. (This can sometimes show up as asthma or allergies!)

Tiredness and dips in energy are often caused by blood sugar imbalance. If you're eating high processed foods, you're riding the blood sugar roller coaster all day. (No wonder you feel so sleepy!)

When your blood sugar is spiking and dipping, your energy level is going to do the same thing.

Ensuring your getting regular exercise and maintaining a healthy, WHOLE, food diet is best for optimal, all day energy levels.

See what I mean? A healthy lifestyle has SO MANY more benefits than just weight loss alone! So we encourage you to focus on the overall benefits, and not just the number on the scale.
