The same general rule applies to thee lungs. When exercise, especially with aerobic exercise, the lungs are worked harder in order to deliver OXYGEN to your working muscles and throughout the body, making them stronger and more efficient!
When it comes to your nutrition, by avoiding foods that contain a lot of refined flour, sugar, and saturated fats will balance out your cholesterol levels and numbers. For optimal heart and lung health, its best to eat whole, real foods and lots of anti-oxidant fruits and veggies to help reduce any inflammation in the lungs. (This can sometimes show up as asthma or allergies!)
Tiredness and dips in energy are often caused by blood sugar imbalance. If you're eating high processed foods, you're riding the blood sugar roller coaster all day. (No wonder you feel so sleepy!)
